Who knows what medicines lurk in the houses of men - not even the Shadow knows ! There is evidence that medicines may persist in the environment after use or disposal, but there is no approved way to discard them at present. Some states have a medicine disposal program in place similar to our Hazardous Waste Program and Connecticut may eventually have one. In the meantime, the best procedure we can think of is to mark them as "DO NOT USE" and keep them all in one place, out of the reach of children, for future disposal.
