Autumn Moonlight Walk
Sponsored by the New Haven Astronomical Society, Madison Beach and Recreation Department, and the Madison Land Conservation Trust
General Information
- The Walk: Durant McCurley will play the bagpipes for walkers as they take to the Garvan Trail, an easy trek for hikers of all ages. However, babies should be carried; the trail is not suitable for joggers or other types of strollers.
- After the walk, members of the Astronomical Society will provide telescopic views of the night sky.
- Refreshments will be served in the Surf Club building.
- As always, there is no fee for this event.
- Sturdy footwear is advised along with the usual precautions for ticks and mosquitoes. These include insect repellent and the wearing of long pants that can be tucked into socks.
- Please remember to bring a flashlight.
