Come join in the fun of exploring! We will learn about nature and science through activities such as hiking, singing, games, reading and making crafts.
General Information
- Indoor/outdoor– dress for the weather.
- For Preschoolers ages 3-5, accompanied by an adult.

September Stroll
- Enjoy a stroll on the Bauer Park trails and search for some the critters that live in the meadow and forest.
- Along the way, do some fun activities and games that will help us learn more about the park’s habitats, plants and animals.
Fall Flyers
- People often associate bats with the fall season even though they’ve been busy all summer.
- Join us to discover some intriguing facts about bats and dispel a few myths along the way.
- Play a game to learn how sound helps bats fly and make a “batty” craft.
Seeds Galore
- While the animals have been preparing for winter this fall, the plants are getting ready for spring!
- In this class, we will learn about some of the different kinds of seeds plants produce and the many ways that nature makes sure they get planted to grow next year.
- Participants will also make a collage of the treasures they collect on our seed scavenger hunt.
Fascinating Fishes
- Fish have all sorts of adaptations to help them survive in their aquatic environments.
- Learn about some cool ways that fish eat, protect themselves and maneuver through their habitats.
- Make a festive holiday fish to take home.
- Class will take place inside.
